Weak Layers

Filmed at Palisades Tahoe and around Alpine Meadows and the West Shore last winter, and starring and directed by Katie Burrell, Weak Layers is about three party-loving best friends who set out to win a ski-movie competition. An uproarious comedy that takes on the male-dominated ski industry.

Produced by Realization Films, which made Buried: the 1982 Alpine Meadows Avalanche, the movie features many locals and athletes as extras and ski doubles.

Katie Burrell and some of the cast and crew will be at the theater for opening night.
