Tony Harrington: Defining Moments
Over a 40-year career exploring the world, from the towering peaks of Alaska to the barreling waves of the Hawaiian coast, photographer Tony Harrington has captured the best of snow and surf and the athletes who tackle it. Join us for this unique opportunity to view a slideshow highlighting Tony’s favorite shots and the stories behind them. In this presentation, as in his stunning coffee table book, Defining Moments, Harrington explores moments that have been pivotal or profound for him personally while honoring the subjects of his photographs, weaving in their recollection of the moment in his frame.
The night will include Harro’s Emocean, a 60-minute surf documentary filmed around Australia, Tahiti, Mavericks, Oahu and Jaws in Maui that has been featured at leading film festivals around the world including New York, London, Los Angeles, Sydney and beyond. Tony will be at the screening for Q&A and book signing.
